IN THIS ISSUE: BALLET BARRE AND SWISS BALL

1. SWISS BALL WORKSHOP THIS SATURDAY 11.15

Please REGISTER before WEDNESDAY if you will be attending (on board or email)
There’s currently only 2 names on the board, so if there’s not sufficient numbers I won’t run it.
This would be a pity, as there’s very good content for conditioning.The price is reduced to $10 cash, so I hope this will bring a few more of you along!
Complimentary passes cannot be used for these workshops.
I will advise on THURSDAY ON THE FACEBOOK GROUP whether the workshop will go ahead or not.

2. BALLET EXAMS ANYONE?

I would like to invite those in the Progress grade upwards, to get in touch with me by email if they are interested in taking a Cecchetti Ballet Examination in mid September, conducted by Cecchetti Australia with their international examiner.
You will receive a written report and a certificate from Cecchetti Ballet Australia.
Exam students will require at least 2 classes per week by term 3, which commences June 13th.
Closer to the exam date, I will schedule a few extra exam classes just for those candidates on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon.
Exam fees range from around $50-$150(Intermediate) Please contact me this week to inquire asap.

3. TERM 3 COMMENCES on Tuesday June 13th

Since AAAB will be registering for GST from June, a 7.5% extra charge will apply to your fees (we will absorb the other half).

4. STUDIO REFURB UPDATE:

I am considering closing down over the next school holidays ( for 1-2 weeks so all the painting & refurbishing can be done then.
All is waiting on the lovely council to confirm painting dates. So our opening & launch will be done later in July /early August I expect!

5. SEWERS NEEDED:

To sew our tulle ballerina-length skirts. Quite simple, but as we will make 36 it would be nice to have a few of us on it!

6. WELCOME TO NEW AAAB STAFF MEMBER JANE STRICKLAND

Jane is now taking our Tuesday Ballet Barre/Barre Stretch class and Senior Jazz…Jane is a wonderful energetic dancer who always puts a smile on your face…we are glad we have finally gotten her on board here at the studio!

7. CONTEMPORARY & BEGINNER JAZZ: BRIGITTE KNIGHT

Brigitte takes the Friday classes & you may not know what you’re missing out on! Brigitte is an experienced and innovative choreographer, dance educator with the Royal New Zealand Ballet and dance adjudicator and we are very fortunate to have her on staff. Do come along & try one of her classes, her emphasis on safe correct technique combined with some wonderful choreography, makes her classes an excellent accompaniment to the ballet student or the modern dancer alone.
