Ballet Initiation Course

for absolute beginners

Saturdays 10-11am from May 4

We would just LOVE to have you join us at DFLA where every adult now has the opportunity to learn ballet! To learn ballet correctly, it’s best to start with our 5-week Ballet Initiation Course.

At DFLA, we specialise in teaching absolute beginners. All of our classes are conducted in a friendly, non-competitive environment. Our highly trained and experienced teachers will teach you ballet from scratch, covering all the basic foundations needed for you to be able to participate in adult ballet classes.

We start a new course every term (and half term on demand), so please email bookings@nzballet.co.nz to enquire about the next start date.

Phase 1 of the full course costs $125 and runs for five weeks, which includes training videos to support your home practice. This followed by Phase 2 for five or six weeks (additional fee and option to opt out after phase 1).

You will learn ballet from absolute scratch and gradually move onwards so that you can join any of our Beginner or Swans classes after the course

CLOTHING: You don’t need any special clothing to start, just exercise wear & socks. If you’d like to purchase ballet shoes, they are available at The Dancers Wardrobe, 319 Remuera Rd.
