Claudia Evans (Tap)

Claudia Evans is an NZAMD registered teacher with a deep passion for Tap Dancing. Under the guidance of Jackie Boyd, she excelled in Tap and achieved Distinction in all NZAMD Tap Levels, including the prestigious Solo Performance Diploma. Her dedication to the craft earned her multiple nominations for the NZAMD scholarship auditions, where she won several awards.

With a Bachelor of Health Sciences from the University of Auckland, Claudia’s path has come full circle as she has returned to her true passion: the performing arts. She now specializes in teaching Tap exam work, choreographing competition routines, and adjudicating Tap competitions across New Zealand.

Claudia finds great joy in sharing her expertise with others, helping students develop their rhythm, technique, and percussive footwork. She thrives on inspiring the next generation of tap dancers to move creatively and confidently.
