Dionne Banks

Dionne Banks hails from the UK where she discovered her passion for dance at the age of 8, and has never looked back. Initially drawn to the high-energy world of street dance, she quickly developed a love for choreography and teaching. Her training spans multiple disciplines, excelling in International Dance Teachers Association (IDTA) syllabus grades across Tap, Ballet, Jazz, and Street Dance.

Dionne’s teaching journey began as an assistant in baby ballet and tap classes, which fueled her passion for instructing. Over the past 10 years, she has taught students aged 3-18 years in a variety of styles, including contemporary, commercial (her personal favorite), conditioning, and syllabus-based training. Beyond teaching, she has performed at prestigious national and international venues and has choreographed for major events and national competitions.

For Dionne, the greatest joy in dance is witnessing the pure happiness and freedom her students experience on stage and in the studio. She is thrilled to be part of Dance For Life Academy teaching Kids Dance Fusion and Adult Contemporary classes and looks forward to inspiring and nurturing the next generation of dancers!
