Lena Ormsby – Preschool & Ballet Instructor

Lena Ormsby has been passionate about dance since she began ballet at the age of four. With over a decade of competitive dance experience, she earned scholarships to the New Zealand School of Dance, excelling in multiple styles. Her favorite genre, demi-character ballet, ignited her love for storytelling through movement—an ability that has shaped her confidence, creativity, and connection with others both on and off the stage.

Beyond dance, Lena has applied her skills in discipline, perseverance, and expression to leadership and advocacy, including speaking in Parliament and working with Australian MPs on improving democratic systems for youth.

At Dance For Life Academy, Lena is excited to combine her passion for ballet with her love of working with children, inspiring the next generation of young dancers in Leap & Learn and Pre-Primary Ballet. Her goal is to create joyful, imaginative, and engaging classes where little dancers can discover their own love for movement in a supportive and creative environment.
