AAAB NEWSLETTER 4 MAY 2017
Adult Ballet News
Welcome to our inaugural Auckland Academy of Adult Ballet News letter!
Well hasn’t it suddenly turned COLD!! This week the heat pump was turned to heat not cool! Our studio was nice and warm last night?
It’s a good idea to get yourself some wool leg warmers to keep your limbs warm especially at the beginning of class to assist performance. If anyone finds good legwarmer buys just post on the Facebook group to share the info around our Adult Ballet news group!
FOYER CHANGE ROOM:
We have managed to unlock the little room to the right of the foyer so now when you enter, you can change there, or pop around through the kitchen to the toilets off the studio …much better!
For Beginner 2-3 upward, we will start this coming week in your lessons, these may be used at a mid year performance to launch the new studio(July/Aug) so do try to be in attendance at your lessons, or review the video on Movitae if you miss a class so you learn it & we can keep adding to it each lesson.

AAAB NEW STUDIO LAUNCH:
I am still awaiting a firm date from the owners regarding the beginning of our sole tenancy, but the idea is that we launch on 2 levels.. 1 for us & our families & friends one Saturday 10am-2pm where classes will each perform their dance at 20-30 min intervals and people can come & see our new premises & take some “trial lessons” in between performances where Tharina can teach a few steps at the barre etc. 2nd a corporate evening launch which will be quite ‘swish” to which we invite media, local business we could work on partnering with & I’ll have a few select performances to showcase the Academy.
Any ideas along the way are always appreciated as we turn this space in something beautiful to dance in! We will be painting, decorating, & taking things up to a whole new level. I hope you get a buzz from the excitement it will generate! Start telling your friends & family now about the launch(flyers will be produced soon) to create expectancy!
